Carpetright and Pets at Home, 85 Camden Road NW1
The building consists of the ground floor retail units of Pets at Home and Carpetright. The flats above the retail units are sold off on a leasehold basis to London Borough of Camden.
The Pets at Home store is approx. 4,500 sq ft and the Carpetright unit is approx. 3,000 sq ft.
The ground floor was originally occupied by a larger Carpetright unit with a smaller adjacent Topps Tiles unit. Planning permission was obtained to vary the goods restriction on the existing Carpetright building to allow Pets at Home to operate from this unit, with Carpetright occupying the adjoining Topps Tiles unit. A virtual freehold for the retail units was sold off to CBRE Investors. Plans are currently being looked at to provided additional residential units on the existing first floor level car park of the residential block and by providing an additional floor and refurbishing the existing flats.
